Welcome to HOTID!
Heart of Texas Interpreters for the Deaf is a non-profit organization that promotes higher standards in interpreting and transliterating services for our local Deaf community within Central Texas. HOTID is a local chapter of the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf which is a Region V Affiliate Chapter of the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID).
What Can HOTID Do For You?
- HOTID was established to support interpreters, students and the Deaf community;
- HOTID meets throughout the year and encourages its members to share feedback;
- HOTID provides educational and CEU opportunites through full day workshops in the Fall and Spring;
- HOTID is committed to bringing you the information you need on events in the Deaf community and Interpreting industry
